New Delhi: There was a massive uproar in Parliament over the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s remarks and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh demanded that Gandhi should tender apology for insulting India in London.
“I demand that his statements should be condemned by all members of this House and he should be asked to apologise before the House,” he said.
Leader of the House in the Rajya Sabha Piyush Goyal also targeted Rahul Gandhi. The proceedings of both the Houses have been adjourned till 2 pm after the ruckus.
Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal said that Gandhi insulted India outside India… He urged other countries to intervene to save India’s democracy. This is an insult to India, to India’s democracy and to Parliament. Why is he insulting this country by spreading lies?
Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that when a person insults the Prime Minister outside the country, he insults the country. Those who make statements in the Lok Sabha for hours and go abroad and say that people are not allowed to speak, the Lok Sabha Speaker should take action on this.
