Chandigarh: Former Punjab Minister Vijay Inder Singla’s residence in Patiala and Sangrur has been raided by the vigilance.m on Tuesday morning.
Singla is being probed in the disproportionate assets case. Earlier on March 21, Vigilance had also questioned him in Sangrur.
The Punjab government suspects a scam in his disproportionate assets and tenders worth over Rs 5 crore. At present, Singla has not yet commented on this.
Vijay Inder Singla is the 5th former minister of Punjab, whose investigation has been initiated after the formation of the AAP government. Earlier, cases were registered against Bharat Bhushan Ashu, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot, Sangat Singh Gilzian and Sunder Sham Arora.
Vigilance has asked for a record of all income sources, past income during the investigation of disproportionate income. The complete record of expenditure, purchase and sale etc. made during the past time will be examined.
