Toronto: A 14-year-old girl has been arrested and charged for intentionally bursting crackers in a packed TTC bus in Scarborough.
Toronto police said the girl was travelling in the Guildwood Parkway area on Kingston Road on a TTC bus on Tuesday.
It has also been alleged that the girl burst crackers when the bus was full. No one was injured in the incident. The 14-year-old girl was arrested on Wednesday and charged with mischief to endanger the lives of people. She will be produced before the court on July 14, 2023.
The girl’s identity has not been disclosed due to the Province’s Youth Criminal Justice Act. The video of the incident went viral on social media and after which the TTC started an investigation into it.
