Mumbai: Amidst strong winds in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar area on Monday, a significant hoarding collapse resulted in injuries to approximately 35 individuals, as reported by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). Following the incident, the BMC announced its intention to take legal action against the advertising firm Ego Media, which was responsible for the hoarding. The BMC’s Public Relations Office stated that a formal complaint would be lodged, involving the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) under the Disaster Management Act. This action underscores the severity of the incident and the municipality’s commitment to holding accountable those responsible for ensuring public safety.
