Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal reached Hisar and launched fierce attack on the BJP and Congress.
Addressing a gathering, Kejriwal said, “The BJP government in Haryana closed 190 schools. The previous Congress government closed 500 government schools. If government schools are closed, where will the children of the poor go?.”
He said that it was said that children do not come to government schools but 27 crore children in the country go to school every day. Of these, 18 crore go to government schools. It is only nefarious policies of the BJP and Congress they do not give good education in government schools to benefit private schools.
He said, “In 1947, we made a mistake. We should have arranged education on war mode. We should have given free and great education. Even in 75 years, we did not pay any attention to education.”
Wrote a letter to the PM
“I have written a letter to the Prime Minister today. On September 5, the PM talked about upgrading 14500 government schools to the central government. There are 10 lakh government schools in Punjab. Can’t wait to fix them. I told the PM to call all the Chief Ministers, we will fix these schools in 5 years.”

Earlier, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann were welcomed by Dr Ashok Tanwar, Rajya Sabha members Dr Sushil Gupta and Chitra Sarwara on their arrival in Hisar on a 2-day visit. Kejriwal launched the Aam Aadmi Party’s ‘Make India Number One Mission’ here.
