New Delhi: Goa Police has arrested two people in connection with the death of BJP leader and Tik Tok star Sonali Phogat.
According to police, Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Vasi, who arrived in Goa on August 22 along with Phogat, have been arrested. Sudhir Sangwan was Sonali Phogat’s PA. Phogat’s post-mortem was conducted today.
In its report, “several injury marks” were found on the body.
“Opinion on the cause of death has been reserved till chemical analysis,” the report said. Keeping in view the above facts, the investigating officer has to find out how the death occurred,” officials said.
Following this, a case of murder was registered against associates Sudhir Sangwan and Sukhwinder Vasi. The police called both of them for questioning and then arrested them.
Phogat, a leader from Haryana’s Hisar, who rose to fame with TikTok, was brought dead to St Anthony’s Hospital in Anjuna area of North Goa district on the morning of August 23.
Heart attack was reported to be the possible cause of death
Sonali Phogat’s brother Dhaka said that shortly before her death, Sonali had spoken to her mother, sister and another family member. Dhaka said she looked upset and complained against two of her colleagues.
