Brampton: An attempt at armed carjacking in Brampton was foiled and the suspect is currently hospitalized.

Peel police said that after 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, an armed man arrived at the gas station located in the Mississauga Road area on Steels Avenue West and tried to carjack. But a passerby, who was present nearby, realised the gravity of the matter and intervened and prevented suspect from doing so. The suspect was detained till the police arrived.

Police said suspect was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries. No charges have been framed against him yet. The passerby was also treated on the spot with minor injuries.
