Ashcroft: The stretch of Highway 1 between Spences Bridge and Cache Creek was closed for traffic after a motor vehicle collision.
According to the Ashcroft RCMP, emergency crews responded to a collision between two commercial vehicles on Highway 1 near Spences Bridge around 7:00 am on Thursday.
As per several media reports, a man has lost his life. However, the police have not confirmed the fatality.
“Officers at the scene managed to speak to one of the drivers,” the RCMP said in a statement.
The RCMP also said the driver of the other vehicle involved in the collision was unaccounted for at the time of the press release.
But, several media reports are claiming that the other driver could be the victim.
