Chandigarh: A drug-addict man who burnt his wife, children and in-laws alive in Jalandhar’s Nakodar has also committed suicide on Wednesday. According to the police, Kuldeep alias Kali committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree. He was hiding on a motor installed in the fields after burning the family. There he hanged himself on a nearby tree.

The police were looking for him after the heinous crime. Meanwhile, in the morning, the police received information that someone had hanged near the motor in the fields. When the police reached the spot and got information about the man hanging from the locals.

Sarabjit Singh Bahia, SP (D) of rural police, said that in the morning they received information that Kali had committed suicide. Police reached the spot and took possession of the body. Kali was joined by two men in burning her wife and children and in-laws to death in her in-laws’ house. One of them was rounded up by the police. While the other is still absconding. Police are searching for him.

Police said that Kuldeep and his wife Paramjit Kaur were both married for the second time. Kali has a 13-year-old son from his first wife, while Paramjit Kaur had two children. The two got married a year ago. He was addicted to drugs, police said.

When Paramjit Kaur came to know that Kali was addicted to drugs, she tried to quarreled with him and later informed her parents.

Two days back, she left the house with children to her parental house where accused came in the night and burnt them alive in a locked room.
