British Columbia: Environment Canada has issued a dust advisory for northwestern B-C, including Smithers, Vanderhoof, Prince George and Burns Lake.
It says high concentrations of coarse particulate matter are expected to persist until there is precipitation, dust suppression or a change in traffic patterns.
The weather office says dust levels tend to be highest around busy roads and industrial operations.
It says exposure is mainly concerning for those with chronic conditions including asthma, heart disease, diabetes as well as those with respiratory infections, pregnant women, infants and older adults.
