Late on Sunday night, a fire at Burnaby Hospital sent workers and patients running out into the parking lot.

Burnaby Firefighters were called to fight with the fire and evacuate the hospital. Translink buses were called on the site to shelter the patients and staff from freezing cold. 

The firefighters put out the fire, staff and patients then allowed patients and staff to re-enter the hospital. Investigation is under process and there is no report of any injuries at this time.
