Chandigarh: The search for Amritpal Singh, the head of Waris Punjab De, continues for the 13th day. A search operation is being conducted in Hoshiarpur to find Amritpal. The police is searching him by drone.
It is said that Amritpal was hiding in a dera near Kapurthala border in Jalandhar after coming from Uttarakhand.
In another audio recording of Amritpal has surfaced on Thursday in which he denied surrendering before police and said that he is not afraid of torture in police custody. At the same time, he asked Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh to call Sarbat Khalsa on Vaisakhi.
In this, Amritpal also clarified that previous video was not made under aby pressure by him.
On Wednesday, Amritpal had released a video. It was shot on March 28 in the area of Uttar Pradesh adjoining Nepal. The video was broadcast from outside the country, police said.
The police have identified three IP addresses, which are from Canada, UK and Dubai. Videos from these countries were posted on the Internet.
