Chandigarh: Sharp shooters Mani Raia and Mandeep Singh Toofan, who were arrested in the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala, have revealed many secrets during the police custody.
During interrogation, the accused revealed that Canada-based gangster Goldy Brar and dreaded gangsters Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Lawrence Bishnoi, lodged in Tihar Jail, had formed two teams to carry out the murder of Moose Wala.
Team one was led by sharp shooter Mani Raia while the other team was led by Deepak Mundi.
During interrogation, it came to light that Lawrence Bishnoi had ordered Mani Raia to eliminate Sidhu Moose Wala in February. Mani Raia, Mandeep Toofan took the help of their two other colleagues Sachin Thapan and Kapil Pandit to carry out this task in lieu of a hefty funds to be come from abroad.
After this, the four gangsters did a recce of Moose Wala’s house about three times but they could not kill Moose Wala. Seeing the failure of their plans, Goldy Brar, Lawrence and Jaggu were also very angry with their gurge Mani Raia. After this, the responsibility of this work was given to the trustworthy Fauji and his companions. Mani told Raia that he would also carry out the murder of Moose Wala along with gangster Priyavart Fauji. After this, both teams of sharp shooters shot dead Moose Wala on the evening of May 29.
The accused had to stay in Bathinda and its adjoining areas for several days to carry out this work, police said.
Four foreign-made pistols recovered
Police have also recovered four foreign-made pistols from their possession. These include a .30 bore pistol, a .45 bore pistol, a .357 bore revolver and a .32 bore pistol. Along with this, 36 live cartridges have also been recovered.

Police officials said that the anti-gangster task force which nabbed the sharp shooters. P. Abhimanyu Rana, DSP Gurinderpal Singh Nagra, DSP Bikram Brar, DSP Parminder Rajan will be honoured with the award.
Jaggu joins criminals in gang after seeing their criminal record
Investigations have revealed that Jaggu joined the youths in his gang after seeing the long criminal record of the accused. The shooter toofan was declared proclaimed offenders in two cases. The accused had murdered Congress councillor Gurdeep Singh in 2018. Not only this, the Tufaan is also involved in the murder of Jaggu’s wife, and liquor businessman in Fatehgarh Churian.
He also played a major role in looting 11 kg of gold. At the same time, Raia has been convicted in three cases. While he has been acquitted in four cases. There are seven cases pending against the accused in the court. He was wanted in four cases. Mani Raia’s name also figures in the gang war in Tarn Taran in 2016.
