Chandigarh: On the occasion of the 74th Republic Day in every district of Punjab, farmers have protested against the central and state government.
Women farmers also arrived at the exhibition ground on Ranjit Avenue in Amritsar in which everyone unitedly surrounded the government on issues like saving the environment, MSP guarantee law of farmers and unemployment issue.
Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee leader Sarwan Singh said that in the last 75 years, the politicians of the country have killed the rights of the people behind the veil of democracy. In no way does the country feel the rule of the Constitution. Today, a garland of flowers is put up in the offices by putting Dr. Ambedkar’s picture, but the constitution is also being flouted openly.
Meanwhile, farmers protested against the bail granted to Ashish Mishra, a convict in the Lakhimpur Kheri murder case.
Sarwan Singh said that the condition of the people of India has deteriorated. Only corporate development is being misled as the development of the country, but now people have become aware and now the government will have to take decisions in favor of the people.
Sarwan Singh Pandher has demanded the government to find a solution to unemployment. Apart from this, he demanded the enactment of MSP Guarantee Law, giving 365 days of work to laborers under MNREGA and doubling the daily wages.
