New Delhi: Dera Sacha Sauda has been embroiled in a new controversy after cutting a cake from Sirsa chief Ram Rahim with a sword.
Ram Rahim had shared a video on social media a day before Republic Day, in which he is using a bottle with a pattern of tricolor.
After giving a demo of preparing organic vegetables, Ram Rahim threw the bottle down. Following this, he received massive backlash on social media for allegedly disrespecting India tricolor.
Ram Rahim, who is serving a 20-year sentence in three cases of sexual assault and murder, is on a 40-day parole in UP’s Barnawa Ashram. He is making videos of satsangs and other works.
In this series, he released a video of making organic vegetables on the morning of January 25. The bottle with the pattern of the tricolor was shown in this video.
After the controversy, Ram Rahim has clarified, “We had shown colorful bottles. There was no tricolor in any of the bottles. It doesn’t have Ashok Chakra. There was no tricolor in the bottle, only three colors.”
