Chandigarh: Punjabi singer Amrit Maan’s father Sarabjit Singh has been embroiled in a controversy over allegedly seeking government job by furnishing a fake SC certificate.
The SC Commission has issued a notice to the Punjab government regarding Sarabjit Singh Mann, who has served in the education department for 34 years.
The government has also been asked to present all the documents related to his job since his joining to retirement in the education department.
In fact, the issue of getting jobs on fake SC certificates was covered on social media for the last several days.
The SC Commission has issued this notice after taking cognizance of the ongoing discussion on social media. SC Commission Chairman Vijay Sampla said he has taken cognisance of the ongoing reports and issued notices to the secretary of the education department, the secretary of the social justice and empowerment department, seeking information about Sarabjit Singh.
