Chandigarh: Balwant Singh Rajoana, who was involved in the conspiracy to kill former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, was brought to the hospital from Patiala Central Jail on Monday morning.
Amid tight security, the police team took Rajoana from Patiala Central Jail to the Government Dental Hospital in Patiala. Rajoana was admitted to the hospital by the jail administration due to toothache.
Rajoana, who visited the Dental Hospital, said, “I want to make it clear to those who are questioning the formation of Qaumi Insaaf Morcha in Mohali and their role in the issue of release of the detained Sikhs that I was, am always with the Akali Dal and will continue to be with the Akali Dal.”
Rajoana asked those questioning him to clarify which party he belongs to. He has no connection with the Qaumi Insaaf Front set up in Mohali.
Regarding Gurcharan Singh, Rajoana said that the rhetoric being made about it is of a very poor level and opponents should not do it.
