Ottawa: The Royal Canadian Airforce has identified its members who died in the Chinook helicopter crash in Ottawa River.

The pilots have been identified as 53-year-old Captain Marc Larouche and 32-year-old Captain David Domagala, who died on Tuesday while taking part in a nighttime training exercise near Garrison Petawawa in eastern Ontario.

Larouche was originally from Quebec, and joined the 450 Tactical Helicopter Squadron in 2016, the Royal Canadian Air Force said.

Domagala was from Woodstock, Ontario, and was posted to the squadron in 2019, according to Canadian air force. – Canadian Press
