New Delhi: A posthumous song of famous singer Sidhu Moosewala, ‘Jandi War’ to be released on September 2. Famous Indian music composer Salim Merchant confirmed the development.

Salim Merchant further said, “The recording of this song took place in Chandigarh at my friend Sachin Ahuja’s studio. He recorded a very emotional, heart touching song. Sidhu went to this song with a lot of heart along Afsana Khan. Siddu is not among us today. But, his thinking is in this song will be reflected.

He said, “We are presenting this song as a tribute. A part of the revenue from this song will go to the singer’s family. We will release song on September 2,” he said.

Family of Moosewala objects to release this song

Sidhu Moosewala’s father Balkaur Singh Sidhu and uncle Chamkaur Singh Sidhu said that no permission has been sought from them to release the song.

Sidhu’s father said that they can also take recourse to the law if needed in this regard.
