Arthur and Margaret Lyon will always remember their 2021 wedding anniversary after finding out that they won the $1-million Lotto 6/49 Guaranteed Prize from the November 20, 2021 draw while celebrating their special day.
Arthur and Margaret purchased their ticket at the Nesters Market on 108 Avenue in Surrey; they were in the kitchen with their daughter when they decided to scan it on the Lotto! app.
“Unbelievable! Surreal! Amazing!” Margaret said of how it felt when they realized their ticket was a winner.
“We were all dancing in the kitchen,” Arthur recalled. “We found out that we had won on our anniversary. We could not believe that it had actually happened.”
The Surrey winners say the number-one item they would like to cross off their wish list is an around-the-world cruise. They previously cruised in Italy and Russia and can’t wait to get back on board for a much longer adventure.
