The Surrey RCMP confiscated a large amount of drugs, cash and a SUV after a traffic stop and foot chase in Whalley.

 Surrey RCMP Community Response Unit (CRU) officers conducting a proactive patrol when they observe a suspicious vehicle in the 9700-block of 137 Street. As police approached to perform a traffic stop a man exited and ran from the vehicle, then the vehicle fled from the area. Several officers pursued the man on foot and observed the man throwing a bag into a ravine. Man was tracked down and arrested by a police dog. Officers recovered the bag from the ravine and a large quantity of drugs was allegedly located inside. Second team found the suspected vehicle and stopped it soon after it fled. All the Suspects were arrested but charges have not yet been laid and the investigation remains ongoing.

Police seized suspected illicit drugs including 75.80grams of cocaine,70.98 grams of methamphetamine, 114grams of fentanyl, 20.08 grams of crack cocaine and 140grams of heroin, cash of $2170 and a BMW SUV X5 car.
