Vancouver: Two Metro Vancouver men, Mohaned Wael Ozor, 29, and Omar Wael Ozor, 20, are facing 14 charges each related to auto theft, possession, and trafficking of stolen property. Police recovered 29 stolen vehicles, including Range Rovers and newer-model pickup trucks, from shipping containers at British Columbia ports, with an estimated value of $2.5 million.

The sophisticated theft operation targeted newer vehicles across the Lower Mainland using advanced technology. The investigation, involving multiple police departments and the Canada Border Services Agency, began in February.

Authorities warn vehicle owners to not rely solely on built-in anti-theft systems and suggest using additional security measures like steering wheel locks and GPS trackers. The arrests were made in Surrey on May 22, with the suspects set to appear in court on June 17.
