Canada: By a vote of 13 to zero with the U-S and Russia abstaining, the U-N Security Council adopted a watered-down resolution calling for
immediately speeding up aid deliveries to Gaza.
But after a week of negotiations, the resolution did not include a call for a ceasefire or pause or suspension of hostilities between Israel and Hamas.
The U-S vetoed a Russian amendment that would have restored the call for a suspension of hostilities.
